John F. kennedy
John F. Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917 in Massachusetts. He graduated from Harvard and entered the navy. After battling injuries, he became a Democratic congressman, later becoming a part of the Senate. He married a woman named Jacqueline Bouvier in 1953 and won the Pulitzer prize in 1955. In 1960, Kennedy ran for president against Richard Nixon and won, resulting in him being the first Roman Catholic president. After Martin Luther King Jr. was arrested for sitting at segregated lunch counters, he expressed his sympathy to Luther's wife. Kennedy's brother worked to release him on bail. Those actions caused him to win over the votes of the midwest and south. He had many hopes for equal rights, but on November 22, 1963, while Kennedy was in Dallas, Texas for a campaign, he was assassinated in his convertible by a man named Lee Harvey Oswald.
